This documentary tells the story of Carina Melchior, a girl who suddenly wakes up in a hospital bed after her family has agreed to organ donation. The director follows her case since Carina's struggle to get her life back and regain the use of her limbs. It's the amazing story of a girl who defied all predictions and survived.

Jacob Kragelund has been associated with DR, since he graduated from the Danish School of Journalism in 2002. He has, among other things, produced consumer programs and hosted the talk show Today's Denmark. Since 2008, Jacob has been employed at DR Documentary. Here, he has been the man behind The Girl Who Wouldn't Die, in the fall of 2012. Jacob has also hosted the documentary series Missing Danes about people who is reported missing at the Danish Police, for which he was nominated as "The Best Male TV Host."
